Repton School Dubai, part of Excella, is an international, co-educational school founded in 2007. The school caters to students from ages 3 to 18 and has boarding facilities for students from age 11. It is a partner school of the original Repton School in the UK, founded in 1557.
Repton School Dubai was the first sister school of the UK-based renowned Repton institution within the UAE educational landscape. Repton School Dubai was also the first UK branded international school to start its operations in the UAE. Subsequently, Repton School Abu Dhabi and Repton School Al Barsha were launched in the UAE in 2013.

Studying at Repton School Dubai:
From a starting point of 237 pupils in August 2007, the school has now grown to over 2050 with over 1100 pupils in Junior School complemented by 950 students in Senior School.
Students at Repton Dubai follow the IGCSE program and thereafter the International Baccalaureate Diploma, Careers Program or A Levels. Repton quickly established itself as one of the leading schools in the GCC; in July 2021 the average IB points per DP student achieved was 36, well above the global average of 29 points and the equivalent of AAAA at A level. These outstanding results secure successful applications to the world’s leading universities and recent alumni are now studying in Oxford University, University College London and Kings College London and the University of California.
Campus and facilities at Repton School in Dubai:
The school day comprises core lessons, busy break and lunch times and a huge variety of sports and extra-curricular opportunities. In addition, challenge and engagement is built into each week and each term, with a series of trips and competitions, cultural opportunities and themed days, designed to spark interest, and develop a deep understanding and appreciation of other cultures, faiths, nationalities and perspectives.
The school has a wide-ranging after-school activity program during the week and boarders actively participate in this to broaden their horizons, develop new skills and discover hidden talents. Full boarders will enjoy exciting weekends making the most of what Dubai has to offer including golf, sailing, horse riding, go-karting and paintball in the cooler months and theme parks, theatres, cinemas and sporting activities during the summer period.
Language requirements for applying to Repton School in Dubai:
At Repton, for some of the pupils, English is a second language. In such cases, the school will give pupils every opportunity to reach the level of language required for success, not just at examination level, but also for conversing socially with peers and adults in increasingly demanding contexts.
Courses offered at Repton School in Dubai:
Repton School Dubai offers a full range of the IGCSE curriculum and the IB Diploma, IB Career Program, and A-Level courses with a choice of 45 subjects in various academic fields. The school houses students from over 80 different nationalities.
The pupils follow an academic program based on the British National Curriculum from Early Years to Year 11. Thereafter students study for the prestigious International Baccalaureate qualification, post 16, following either the Diploma or Careers programs. Existing and new students can also choose to specialize in AS and A Level courses.
In the heart of the vast campus lie a girl’s and a boy’s boarding houses. Pupils are accommodated in rooms with en-suite bathrooms and personal study areas. Whilst some of the younger boarders enjoy living in dormitories where they learn to live alongside and share with others, older pupils occupy single rooms so that they may maximize their study time.
There is high speed internet access throughout both boarding houses, as well as communal lounges, study rooms and kitchens which allow everyone to come together in an informal setting to relax and unwind. Boarders also have access to Repton’s world class facilities during their weekends and leisure time, including sports facilities, gymnasium and swimming pools.

Set in the heart of Dubai, students have access to one of the most exciting and safest cities. As a “gateway to the world”, Dubai is less than an 8-hour flight from the majority of Europe, Asia and Africa, making it easily accessible and furthermore, the campus is only 10 minutes away from Dubai international airport. The Boys and Girls Boarding Houses are a home away from home boarders, who enjoy access to the biggest campus in the Middle East and world-class facilities.
The school offers full term boarding as well as more flexible boarding options, such as weekly boarding.
- Boarding fees are annual and do not include tuition fees.
- A deposit of AED 50,000 ($13,650) is required for all Boarding pupils. This is refundable when the pupil leaves.
- Health insurance for full-time students can be provided with an amount of 8400 dirhams.

Each year Repton Dubai students receive offers from their university applications, with typically well over 90% achieving offers from their first-choice destinations.
Upon graduation students accept university places all over the world, including many in the QS World 100 universities including those in the USA, Canada, Europe, Middle East, South Africa, and Australia, however the majority focus upon the Russell Group in the UK.
Each year students are selected to interview at Oxford and Cambridge, with acceptances on to Law, Engineering and PPE programmes.
