The Okan University in Turkey was established in 1999. Therefore, it is considered one of the relatively new universities in this country. It is interesting to know that this university started as a Sports Foundation in 1999. Then, added academic activities in 2003 and 2004. Also, this university developed over the years and accepts international and local applicants at different academic levels today.

The Okan University in Turkey is a private university in this country and offers 63 undergraduate, 41 master’s, and 13 Ph. D. programs under eight faculties for all the applicants. Moreover, this university has two vocational schools and three graduate schools for pre-bachelor and pre-master studies with valuable certificated.
On the other hand, this university offers international programs to all international applicants in the English language. Furthermore, the students who choose to study at this university will have both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to gain enough valuable experience in the business world and enter the international and local job market right after graduation. Language requirements for applying to Okan University in Turkey:

If international applicants do not get enough language scores on these tests, they can take the Okan University Proficiency Test and get at least 60 out of 100 scores. Then, they will be eligible to apply for their chosen program, on other hand, the international applicants can study in the Turkish language at Okan University in Turkey. But they must have TOMER A or B level in the Turkish proficiency test.

The students at Okan University in Turkey can use the student Residence Halls on the main campus with four-person, double, or single rooms. Also, these accommodations and dormitories are fully equipped with TV rooms and medical centers. Moreover, the students will have three meals per day in the restaurant of the accommodation center.
If the students do not want to live in the university residence halls or dormitories inside the campus, they can find an apartment in Istanbul according to their budget and situation and live with a roommate or alone while studying in this country.

International students must refer to their student visas to see whether they are eligible to work in this country while studying or not. Furthermore, the graduates from Okan University in Turkey can use the help of a career center and find a full-time or part-time related and suitable job in Turkey or the global job market.
Also, this center will help them find placements or internships to gain enough knowledge, skills, and experience to become familiar with workplaces. On the other hand, the faculty of engineering will offer the CO-OP programs in three semesters with an obligation of 40 working days per semester and 120 working days in total. Furthermore, the economics students will have this program in 14 weeks.
