Lady Elizabeth school, located in Alicante, Spain, was established in 1987. Back then, the school was extremely small and only held 14 students. through time, the school started evolving, accepting more and more students and thus, expanding. As a result, it changed its location numerous times. It was moved to its current location back in 2018 and admitted over 1100 students from all over the world.

Lady Elizabeth school is an international school that focuses on providing students with a supportive, joyful, intellectual and safe environment that interests them in studying rather than forcing them to meet impossible standards. Furthermore, it puts a considerable amount of emphasis on acquainting students with other nationalities, cultures and mindsets.

 

Campus and facilities at Lady Elizabeth School in Spain:

With panoramic views of the Mediterranean, the Primary School Site has excellent facilities which create the perfect learning environment. The Early Learning Years (ages from 1 to 5 years old) have access to an enclosed patio, with outside play areas that have soft fall flooring, excellent playground equipment and access to water and sand trays.

The pupils have access to a wide range of computer software including: word processing, multimedia presentations, drawing, programming, databases and spreadsheets. They can also access information and web pages on the internet in a safe and secure environment. They also have access to tablets, which are used for a range of activities and projects. Music classes are also held at music rooms which are equipped with a wide range of instruments, including keyboards, piano, drums, violin and guitar. There’s also a heated indoor swimming pool which all pupils swim weekly throughout the year and are given high-quality swimming instruction from an early age, including water safety instruction, water polo and synchronized swimming.

For a relaxed lunch, the Dining Room is spacious, bright and cheery with a wonderful view of the Mediterranean Sea. There is a daily dining service available, which encourages a healthy diet.

The school hours of the center are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

  • Children: from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Primary: from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Secondary and sixth form: from 9:00 a.m. to 2:05 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Language requirements for applying Lady Elizabeth School in Spain:

Due to the fact that the programs are offered in English, students must be fluent enough to be able to attend the classes and actually be admitted to the school. However, they do not have to receive a certificate with a specific score that determines their level of fluency.

Students’ proficiency in English is actually assessed during the introductory interview session and the entrance exam, both of which are held online. If a student is considered to be below the required level, he/she can take part in classes to reach the necessary levels.

 

Courses offered at Lady Elizabeth School in Spain:

The programs in lady Elizabeth school in Spain are divided into four major levels; foundation, primary, secondary and sixth form. The early years foundation level is divided into three levels; pre-nursery and two foundation levels. This program focuses on familiarizing children with concepts like basic Mathematics, language and Literacy, as well as Expressive arts and design. It also concentrates on enhancing children’s Communication, Physical, Personal, social and emotional skills. It also helps them gain a general and fundamental Understanding of the world.

The primary level, which consists of 6 different grades, focuses on building a strong academic base for students by educating them about subjects like English, math, history, geography, science, art, design and technology, as well as, society. It puts a great deal of pressure on topics like music, PE, and international mindedness.

The secondary level consists of three stages and seven grades. The first stage, also known as stage 3 is divided into grades 7, 8 and 9 and is suitable for students between the ages of 11 and 13. During these three years, students are taught about subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Spanish, Art, Drama, Music, Food Technology, ICT, PE and an additional language that can be chosen from French, German or English support.

During the second stage, which is also called stage 4, students between the ages of 14 and 16 have to go through 10th and 11th grade, during which students can somewhat choose what they wish to study. All students are required to pass at least one science subject in addition to English, Mathematics and Spanish. Students can choose from subjects like German Modern Foreign Language, French Modern Foreign Language, History, Geography, Business Studies, Media Studies, Chemistry, Food and Nutrition, Physical Education, Art, Music, Performing Arts, Biology, ICT and Physics.

Finally, the final stage of the secondary level is called the sixth form and consists of two grades; 12th and 13th. This level is suitable for students between the ages of 16 and 18. This stage educates students about subjects like Art, Physical Education, Art & Design Graphic Communication, Art & Design Photography, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics, English as a Foreign Language, English Language, English Literature, Modern Foreign Languages, Further Mathematics, Geography, History, Marine Science, Mathematics, Drama and Theater, Media Studies, Physics, Psychology, Biology, as well as Travel and Tourism.

 

Scholarships offered at Lady Elizabeth School in Spain:

Lady Elizabeth school in Spain does not mention to offer any particular scholarships; however, it does offer discounts to those who meet the criteria. All students are offered a 3% discount on the tuition fee, provided that they enroll and pay the tuition fee of the whole year before the specified early bird deadline. Moreover, families with more than two students are also offered a remarkable discount. The third child receives a 15% discount, and the fourth child receives a 50% discount on tuition fees.

Lady Elizabeth school is a boarding school that provides students with a healthy and supportive environment. It gives students the choice to take residence in the school dorms. The school residence is located in a safe and beautiful area, which is within walking distance from the school and various recreational places like the beach and a shopping center. And the students are separated based on age and gender.

The dorms are constantly monitored in order to ensure the safety and well being of all students. even though students have the chance to use a wide range of amenities, they are motivated to be in charge of their own personal space and daily tasks. This helps them learn the value of responsibility and independence, while being in a supportive and loving environment.

Finally, students can decide how many days a week they wish to stay in the dorms. Students who choose the full boarding option, can live in the dorms every day of the week and are required to pay €31420 a year and those who choose the weekly boarding option, can take residence in the dorm room during the weekdays, 5 days a week. The weekly boarding option costs €25900 per year.
