B.H.M.S., Business and Management School located in Lucerne city, was first established in 1928 as a member of the Benedict Switzerland group of schools, which is a private organization dedicated to education. Over 15000 students take part in their part-time and full-time programs each year.

The school offers various programs with different certificates awarded upon graduation. The school programs are divided into three groups; the culinary arts programs, hospitality management programs and finally, the business management programs. Hospitality management and business management programs may overlap in some programs, courses and semesters since the two majors share some similarities; however, the culinary arts programs mainly focus on the art of cooking, baking, creating and presenting.

Masterwork, a company owned by B.H.M.S. provides global career and placement opportunities for B.H.M.S. graduates after completing BA, PGD, culinary or MBA programs. B.H.M.S. also works with numerous international placement agencies that specialize in placing graduate students in Europe, Asia and North America. This service includes preparing for telephone and Skype interviews and video resumes, job prospecting, preparing extensive documentation for employment as well as assistance with visa applications. B.H.M.S. also participates in numerous career fairs to expose its graduates to global career opportunities.
