Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK) is a diverse institution of higher education committed to excellence in education, research, development, and innovation within the South Ostrobothnia region of West Finland. Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK) has once again been recognized as the top university of applied sciences in Finland, based on the results of the nationwide graduation feedback survey (AVOP) for the year 2022. With a comprehensive range of educational programs across six fields of study and a strong emphasis on high-quality research, development, and innovation services, SeAMK strives to make a significant impact both locally and globally.

Studying at SeAMK University in Finland:
SeAMK University currently boasts a student body of around 5,000 individuals, with approximately 10% of them being international degree students. The university also employs approximately 400 staff members. SeAMK University comprises two faculties: SeAMK Technology and Business, and SeAMK Welfare and Culture. Across these faculties, there are six fields of education. Each field of education offers higher education programs and actively engages in research, development, and innovation initiatives.

SeAMK operates primarily from its campus situated in the area within the city of Seinäjoki. Additionally, SeAMK extends its presence to other municipalities through the SeAMK Regional University. These units provide diverse adult education programs and research, development, and innovation (RDI) services across various cities within the province of South Ostrobothnia. The Regional University maintains offices in the cities of Alajärvi, Alavus, Kauhajoki, Kauhava, and Kurikka.

Courses offered at SeAMK University in Finland:
SeAMK University provides four bachelor degree programs conducted in English but in the Nursing degree program, proficiency in the Finnish language is required. On average, full-time students typically complete a bachelor’s degree within 3.5 to 4 years of study. The degrees are as below:
- Bachelor of Engineering, Agri-food Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering, Automation Engineering
- Bachelor of Business Administration, International Business
- Bachelor of Health Care, Nursing
SeAMK University also offers a master’s degree program in International Business Management that is entirely taught in English.
Scholarships offered at SeAMK University in Finland:
There is an Early Bird scholarship for the first year students at SeAMK. It will concern students admitted in 2024 and it is 10 % of the tuition fee. The Early Bird -scholarship is available for the students, who will:
- Accept the study place offered by SeAMK within 7 days of notice of admission and
- Pay the tuition fee within 28 days of notice of admission and
- Register as an attending student for the first academic year.
1- Scholarship scheme for Bachelor-degree students admitted in 2024: For a Bachelor’s degree program, the Early Bird scholarship amounts to €950 in the first academic year.
2- Scholarship scheme for Master-degree students admitted in 2024: In a Master’s degree program, the Early Bird scholarship is €1150 in the first academic year.

Seinäjoki boasts a vibrant and highly modern student campus, considered one of Finland’s most contemporary. Situated in the heart of the city, students have convenient access to the SeAMK Campus and nearby amenities. Student housing in Seinäjoki is overseen by Sevas Kodit Oy, providing a range of high-quality accommodations including one-bedroom apartments, shared living spaces, and larger family residences throughout the city.
The city of Seinäjoki offers more affordable living expenses compared to the Helsinki area. Even after covering essential costs like housing and food, students still have discretionary funds available for leisure activities.
