Midwestern State University offers students over $2 million in general academic merit scholarships each year. New incoming freshmen who are admitted to MSU Texas by the March 1 priority deadline for fall or November 1 priority deadline for spring are automatically considered for our general merit, Phi Theta Kappa, Regents and ISD scholarships. Students admitted to MSU after the priority deadline will be reviewed to the extent funds are available.
New incoming transfer students seeking their first bachelor’s degree who are admitted to MSU by July 1 for fall or November 1 for spring and have all required documents on file with the Admissions Office are automatically considered for our general merit and Phi Theta Kappa scholarships.
These are awarded if the deadline and criteria are met for the first semester that you are applying for admission. Scholarships range from $750-$3,500 per academic year for students who qualify.

To bring affordable educational opportunities to employees, Midwestern State University partners with companies and organizations to offer a 10% tuition and fee discount on the Bachelors of Applied Arts & Sciences. Here are the specifics:
- There is no cost to the Corporate Partner to set up a partnership – only the willingness to encourage employees to pursue their educational goals. MSU may ask that you share university information with your employees from time to time.
- It is simply a commitment by the Corporate Partner to promote and encourage employees to further their education and to reach their educational goals.
- No minimum number of employees need to enroll.
- The partnership will remain active for five years with auto-renewal thereafter, or until either party chooses to discontinue the relationship.
- Becoming a partner does not limit the employees to enroll in MSU only. It simply means that if any employee chooses to enroll in this university, they will receive the benefits included in the partnership agreement.

Residence Halls, Killingsworth Hall, Legacy Hall, and McCullough-Trigg Hall, are a great fit for incoming freshmen.
