IB Middle Years Programme MYP0 – MYP2 (10-12 years):
MYP0 to MYP2 serves as the bridge between the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The HPC follows the curriculum, assessment, and core components of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme starting from MYP0. Students typically enter this program around age 10 after completing the first 4 years of German Primary school or any other primary school program worldwide.
IB Middle Years Programme MYP4 and MYP5 (13-15 years):
The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme at HPC International School caters to students aged 13 to 15 years old. They have the option to directly enroll in MYP4 (typically grade 9) and/or MYP5 (typically grade 10), or they can choose to attend the MYP0 and MYP1 classes beforehand.
IB Diploma Programme:
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at HPC International School is designed for students aged 16 and above. It provides the groundwork for pursuing studies at some of the world’s most prestigious universities and colleges.

For those who are new to Heidelberg and away from their families, HPC offers the International Boarding School. Starting at age 14, HPC students can enjoy a safe and vibrant home environment, complete with individual bedrooms, communal spaces, full board, and recreational activities. Additionally, the dedicated and trained caregivers provide support and guidance to the boarders in their daily lives.

From 9th grade onward, the HPC assists its students in identifying their strengths and talents and guide them in formulating initial plans for post-IB endeavors. It also aids them in selecting subjects for the IB Diploma Programme. In grades 11 and 12, the HPC career counselor conducts specialized workshops where students learn how to enhance their applications and navigate the process of compiling necessary documents. The counselor remains available to support students throughout their application journey, including the recognition of the IB Diploma in Germany and the legalization process in specific countries. Additionally, international universities frequently visit the school to introduce their programs to students and parents.
