Founded in 1966 by Mathilde and Jean Wegmüller, Chantemerle is a private boarding school located in Blonay (Canton de Vaud). Chantemerle welcomes Swiss and International students starting at ages 6 for school year programs, study abroad programs and educational summer or winter camps. With a maximum capacity of 65 boarders and day students, this school is renowned for the quality of its teaching and its personalized family atmosphere. Beautifully located in the heart of nature, close to Geneva, Montreux and Lausanne, Chantemerle offers a healthy, safe and structured learning environment.

Campus and facilities at Ecole Chantemerle:
During extra-curricular time, Chantemerle offers its students a varied program of activities. Sport of course, for the important role it plays in a young person’s life, but also outdoor activities and artistic creativity in all its forms.
At the request of the parents, sport-study or art-study programs can be set up. In partnership with local elite clubs and art schools, these programs bring together young talents who wish to combine formal academic training with high-level artistic or sports training (between 8 and 12 hours of training per week):
- Sport academies: Soccer, basketball, tennis, golf, horse riding, ski, ice hockey
- Art schools: Ballet dancing, piano, cello and violin
Personalized coaching programs can also be set up upon request.

Depending on the type of program (day or boarding school) and the language of instruction (English or French) from CHF 21.500 to CHF 55.000.
Personal expenses typically add 15% to the stated amounts.
Included in the fees:
- Boarding student: full board, tuition, supervision and care, supervised homework,
sports/arts/cultural activities, airport transfers.
• Day school student: tuition, supervision and care from 07:30 to 17:30, hot meals and
snacks, supervised homework, sports/arts/cultural activities.
Additional fees:
• Deposit (non-refundable) payable in advance to secure your child’s place at
Chantemerle.: CHF 1600.- (admission, material, package art/culture/transport, uniforms).
• Personal expenses (on demand): private courses, health insurances, private transports,

On request, boarding accommodation is available at Chantemerle School, Blonay. An exceptional team of dedicated and experienced educators ensure the safety and individual attention of each child in a warm and structured environment with a family atmosphere.
after graduation
The school emphasizes improving students’ practical and personal skills as well as their academic knowledge. By taking part in various sports and art programs, students gain the competence to enter universities in their field of interest. Furthermore, the fact that the school is bilingual helps students with learning a new language, which can be very advantageous for them. What is more, the school thoroughly focuses on sports and helping students find the athletic passion and potential. Through all the training students receive, they have the ability to win a sport a scholarship and be admitted to an American university.
During the course of their education in this school, students receive various diplomas and certifications. High school students receive the necessary preparation and training to receive a Federal Matura, which is an internationally recognized diploma. They are also able to take part in French Baccalaureate, which is a renowned French program and International Baccalaureate, also known as IB, which is a worldly reputable bilingual program taught in English and French. These certifications are accredited and recognized by numerous universities not only in Switzerland, but also in the world.
