history
Brock university, which is located in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, was established in 1964 under the management of Dr. James A. Gibson. At first the classes were held in a church due to the fact that the renovation of the campus was not fully done. The classes were held in the church for less than four months and were eventually moved to the newly renovated campus. There is a very interesting story behind the name of this reputable university. It is named after a courageous war general named Sir Isaac Brock who was killed in a battle near the university campsite in the year 1812. According to some resources the last thing he ever said was to push on. His words remain to be the university motto to this day and his statue lives on the campus.
