Studying Pre-master’s in Engineering at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom:
The course is designed to prepare you for an exciting profession in engineering. The course attracts those who want to improve their engineering skills and pursue a new career path. It also attracts applicants who have been out of school for a while but want to return to study before starting their master’s program. Graduates with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, and engineering, as well as holders of a UK ordinary or pass degree who have industrial experience but do not qualify for our master’s degree can apply to join this program. This course is also suitable for overseas students who wish to strengthen their technical English language skills before enrolling in our Master’s program. The objectives of this course are: enabling direct admission to selected Cranfield engineering Master’s courses, providing the professional and personal skills needed to study for a master’s degree, providing mathematics and engineering skills related to engineering, provide philosophies, methodologies, and tools used in industry. The training is provided by Cranfield staff with industry and academic experience. The program is presented through a combination of hands-on laboratory sessions, design exercises, and lectures. The program is made up of modules which cover many general engineering applications. The provided modules may be modified or canceled due to research advances, changes in rules or for various other reasons. It also includes an individual project, which is a research project or design exercise. Its purpose is to develop engineering knowledge and increase research methods. At the end of the course, you will be eligible to enter several of our master’s programs.

Admission requirements of Pre-master’s degree in engineering:
The course only offers a full-time pre-master’s degree, which takes 10 months to successfully complete. To study the course, you need an ordinary degree or HND with three years of experience in engineering and physical science disciplines.
* Applicants should be fully acquainted with algebra, basic mathematical functions, comprehension and competency in basic calculus.
** Requirements for admission include basic knowledge of force and torque, mass application, and SI units.
Language requirements of Pre-master’s degree in engineering:
IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall and 5.5 in all skill components.
TOEFL IBT: 92 total and minimum skill component scores of 18 reading, 17 listening, 20 speaking and 17 writing.
PTE Academic: 65 overall and 59 in all skill components.
Cambridge Assessment English tests: Cambridge English Scale score of 180 overall and 160 in all skill components.
Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English III: Pass
Language Cert: High pass overall and 33 in all skill components

The expiration date for the exams is only two years of the course start date. Combination of scores in two or more tests is not accepted, all elements of test results must be shown in one test. All test scores are checked with test providers.

The School of Water, Energy and Environment, the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, and the School of Management are located on the Cranfield Campus, as well as many industrial-scale facilities for research.
There are many facilities on Cranfield Campus, including: student accommodation options, two hotels with full accommodation and conference and banqueting facilities, sports and recreation facilities, and a private airport. Cranfield Campus sports facilities include several tennis courts sports pitches, playing fields, an aerobics stadium, and a fitness center.
Students admitted to a full-time course can apply for on-campus accommodation. They will also be able to find private housing off campus in nearby areas. Cranfield Campus has 1,466 single rooms, 75 studio apartments for couples, and 97 family homes including two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom houses. All dormitories have Wi-Fi internet connection. All students will benefit from Endsleigh insurance, which covers the risks that may occur while living in student accommodation.
