Studying master of Power and Propulsion Gas Turbine Engineering at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom:
The course provides the knowledge, skills, and behavioral requirements of a Level 7 apprenticeship standard. Topics covered include design, development, operation, and maintenance of gas turbine systems. The program offers two options of power and propulsion related to rotating machines and aircraft propulsion, which are taught through modules.
The course welcomes students from the power and energy sector: staff from gas turbine users, engine manufacturers, government / regulatory authorities, service companies, and consultants. Moreover, the course is designed to be suitable for students from the aviation/defense sector: airline staff, air force, airports, airframe manufacturers, engine manufacturers, government agencies, service companies, and consultants.
Cranfield is one of the first universities to offer postgraduate apprenticeships in the United Kingdom. The gas turbine program has been running in Cranfield for more than 70 years and is taught by industry-leading research academics. Upon admission, students will be based at the Propulsion Engineering Center and will also have access to a comprehensive set of analytical research, large-scale laboratories, and training programs.
Students will be able to acquire the following knowledge and skills: 1) Assessing the design, performance, operation and maintenance needs of gas turbine engines using experimental / analytical tools, 2) Producing and evaluating the design and performance of engine components for gas turbines in various applications as well as their environmental impact, 3) Designing and analyzing of gas turbines according to their application needs at sea, land, or air, 4) Planning and providing technical work, 5) Examining the requirements of ethical and professional conduct when using and presenting data.
The course is made up of nine compulsory modules, an individual project, and an end point assessment. The individual project provides an opportunity for students to prove their ability to work, do independent research, and think about solving a real problem.

Academic requirements:
To study the course, students need a second class UK honours degree (or its equivalent) in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Applied Science. Candidates with lesser qualifications but with relevant work experience may be accepted.
Apprenticeship requirements:
Students can join the program, which is also available as an apprenticeship. For this purpose, they should have a certified level 2 degree in mathematics and English.

IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall and 5.5 in all skill components.
TOEFL IBT: 92 total and minimum skill component scores of 18 reading, 17 listening, 20 speaking and 17 writing.
PTE Academic: 65 overall and 59 in all skill components.
Cambridge Assessment English tests: Cambridge English Scale score of 180 overall and 160 in all skill components.

The School of Water, Energy and Environment, the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, and the School of Management are located on the Cranfield Campus, as well as many industrial-scale facilities for research.
There are many facilities on Cranfield Campus, including: student accommodation options, two hotels with full accommodation and conference and banqueting facilities, sports and recreation facilities, and a private airport. Cranfield Campus sports facilities include several tennis courts sports pitches, playing fields, an aerobics stadium, and a fitness center.
Students admitted to a full-time course can apply for on-campus accommodation. They will also be able to find private housing off campus in nearby areas. Cranfield Campus has 1,466 single rooms, 75 studio apartments for couples, and 97 family homes including two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom houses. All dormitories have Wi-Fi internet connection. All students will benefit from Endsleigh insurance, which covers the risks that may occur while living in student accommodation.
