Studying master of Gun Systems Design at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom:
The Master of Gun Systems Design covers essential technologies and provides students with the opportunity to prepare for leadership roles in their organizations regarding the development, design, and specifications of gun systems. Students will be trained in selected weapon systems and gain in-depth knowledge of performing engineering analysis or evaluating related subsystems. The course attracts armed forces officers, scientists and technical officers in defense industry and defense institutions. It is also suitable for those interested in dealing with operation of weapons systems, technical management, specification, development, and analysis in their future careers. After graduation, students can return to their sponsoring organizations to take on role in senior program appointments and equivalent R&D in this technical field. The training is provided by Cranfield’s leading experts as well as external speakers from industry and defense. The course is led by an industrial advisory panel consisting of experienced engineers from the international defense industry and the MoD. The course is made up of twelve modules (including some double modules, which usually take up to two weeks), and an individual project. MSc and PgDip students are required to take eleven core modules and one elective module. PgCert students must complete four core modules plus two elective modules. Each module is designed and presented independently to equip students with an understanding of the basic technology needed to perform specific and relevant job responsibilities effectively. The provided modules may be modified or canceled due to research advances, changes in rules or for various other reasons. The individual project aims to enhance students’ expertise in design, research, and development. Course delivery is through dissertation (MSc only), exams, and continuous evaluation. Approximately 10 to 15% of evaluation is through a test.

Admission requirements of master degree in Gun Systems Design:
The course offers three degrees: MSc, PgDip and PgCert. Students can enter the course to take any of these qualifications, which are held full-time and part-time. The successful completion period of the course is as follows:
MSc: 11 months full-time, up to three years part-time/ PgDip: up to 11 months full-time, up to two years part-time/ PgCert: up to 11 months full-time, up to two years part-time
To study the course, students need a first or second class UK honours (or equivalent) in science, engineering or mathematics. Also, Students may need to request an ATAS certificate.Candidates with lesser qualifications but with significant relevant work experience may be accepted
Shrivenham Security clearance
Some courses of the Cranfield are offered at the British Defense Academy, so applicants must complete the BPSS or have a security clearance up to this level or higher before enrolling in the course.

The School of Water, Energy and Environment, the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, and the School of Management are located on the Cranfield Campus, as well as many industrial-scale facilities for research.
There are many facilities on Cranfield Campus, including: student accommodation options, two hotels with full accommodation and conference and banqueting facilities, sports and recreation facilities, and a private airport. Cranfield Campus sports facilities include several tennis courts sports pitches, playing fields, an aerobics stadium, and a fitness center.
Students admitted to a full-time course can apply for on-campus accommodation. They will also be able to find private housing off campus in nearby areas. Cranfield Campus has 1,466 single rooms, 75 studio apartments for couples, and 97 family homes including two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom houses. All dormitories have Wi-Fi internet connection. All students will benefit from Endsleigh insurance, which covers the risks that may occur while living in student accommodation.
