Studying master of Explosives Ordnance Engineering at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom:
Explosives are used in various fields from defense and military to mining and other industrial operations, so specialists are needed to be skilled in explosives and its engineering. The course provides students with an advanced educational background to enable them to participate effectively in technical projects. Students will gain an understanding of explosives engineering, ammunition, and target response. The course introduces current and new research to prepare students for problem solving and evaluating the best EOE business and military practices. The course attracts civilian students, military officers, government servants, and defense industry staff to develop the knowledge and skills needed for self-direction, problem solving, and informed communication. Many students are financially supported and employed by the military, so they continue to work for them after graduation. The course also prepares people to take on different roles at a higher level. The training is provided by Cranfield’s leading experts as well as external speakers from industry and defense. This course includes an introductory period followed by modular academic training. Students are required to take 10 modules, two of which are elective modules based on their research interests, future needs, and specific background. The provided modules may be modified or canceled due to research advances, changes in rules or for various other reasons. Course delivery is through exam, coursework, individual dissertation and group project (MSc only).The group project involves a team of students working on a research project related to EOE. This project provides an opportunity for students to improve their communication and presentation skills. They will also gain an understanding of the challenges and procedures involved in prioritizing, reviewing, and grading the work presented against a clear evaluation framework. The individual project provides an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and skills to solve a practical problem in EOE.

Admission requirements of master degree in Explosives Ordnance Engineering:
The course offers three degrees: MSc, PgDip and PgCert. Students can enter the course to take any of these qualifications, which are held full-time and part-time. The successful completion period of the course is as follows:
MSc: 11 months full-time, up to five years part-time; PgDip: up to 11 months full-time, up to four years part-time; PgCert: up to 11 months full-time, up to 3 years part-time.
To study the course, students need a degree in a science or engineering related subject or with at least 7 years’ experience. Also, students may need to request an ATAS certificate. Applicants who do not have a first degree should contact the institution directly for more information on whether they qualify.
Shrivenham Security clearance
Some courses of the Cranfield are offered at the British Defense Academy, so applicants must complete the BPSS or have a security clearance up to this level or higher before enrolling in the course.

The expiration date for the exams is only two years of the course start date. Combination of scores in two or more tests is not accepted, all elements of test results must be shown in one test. All test scores are checked with test providers.

The School of Water, Energy and Environment, the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, and the School of Management are located on the Cranfield Campus, as well as many industrial-scale facilities for research.

Students admitted to a full-time course can apply for on-campus accommodation. They will also be able to find private housing off campus in nearby areas. Cranfield Campus has 1,466 single rooms, 75 studio apartments for couples, and 97 family homes including two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom houses.
