The Master of Counterterrorism, Risk Management and Resilience brings together a distinct combination of various topics and equips students with the basic knowledge, skills, and evidence-based methodological approaches and tools needed to comprehend, analyze, prevent, and reduce terrorism. This course attracts individuals who are interested in developing their job in risk management or insurance parts by focusing on security protection against terrorism and its threats. The course is suitable for those who work in the risk management and risk reduction departments and want to specialize in the field of counter-terrorism management and security, and is also suitable for those who are serving or have recently retired. After graduation, students can work in a variety of fields, including military, security, police, international work, and government policy. The training is provided by Cranfield’s leading experts as well as external speakers from industry and defense. The basic principles of our education are based on research-led teaching and learning through evaluation methods. This course is made up of six compulsory and nine elective modules (include workshops, seminars, lectures, tutorials, and individual monitoring), and a research project. Part-time students will complete all of their compulsory modules with the agreement of the course director. The provided modules may be modified or canceled due to research advances, changes in rules or for various other reasons. The research project provides an opportunity for students to participate in an important independent research project. The chosen topic should be related to the terrorism and counter-terrorism program. The project should be based on literature or experimental nature.

Admission requirements of master degree in Counterterrorism, Risk Management and Resilience:
The course offers three degrees: MSc, PgDip and PgCert. Students can enter the course to take any of these qualifications, which are held full-time and part-time. Successful completion of the MSc course takes 11 months full-time and three years part-time. Also, PgDip and PgCert courses last one year full-time and two years part-time.
To study this field, applicants need a first or second class UK honours (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or the professional equivalent. Other qualifications along with representing enthusiasm and knowledge in the elements of the subject may be accepted.
Shrivenham Security clearance
Some courses of the Cranfield University are offered at the Defense Academy of the UK. Applicants must complete the BPSS before enrolling in the course or have a security clearance up to this level or higher.

The expiration date for the exams is only two years of the course start date. Combination of scores in two or more tests is not accepted, all elements of test results must be shown in one test. All test scores are checked with test providers.

The School of Water, Energy and Environment, the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, and the School of Management are located on the Cranfield Campus, as well as many industrial-scale facilities for research.

Students admitted to a full-time course can apply for on-campus accommodation. They will also be able to find private housing off campus in nearby areas. Cranfield Campus has 1,466 single rooms, 75 studio apartments for couples, and 97 family homes including two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom houses.
