This is a course for a diverse range of students; some students are already working in a relevant sector that might be the place in military, government or intelligence. Another group of people which the course is aimed at are students who just completed an undergraduate degree and this might be in a subject like politics, criminology, or psychology and they want to specialize in an area like terrorism and counterterrorism with an eye to developing a career in this sector. Cranfield is a great location to study a course like this because as a university it’s always taught defense and security. Cranfield has unique facilities for anyone who wants to study subjects like terrorism and counterterrorism. Students will develop a range of skills and we are preparing people not only for working in the professional world but also for those students who want to stay in research and academic world. Cranfield has a strong link with government and industry which is reflected in this course. The design, content, and modules of the course are all selected in consultation with industry partners. Course delivery is through project presentation, oral exam, practical and written examinations, and continuous evaluation. The course is made up of five compulsory modules and some other elective modules. The provided modules may be modified or canceled due to research advances, changes in rules or for various other reasons. The following is a list of compulsory modules:

Admission Requirements of master degree in Counterterrorism:
The course offers three degrees: MSc, PgDip and PgCert. Students can enter the course to take any of these qualifications, which are held full-time and part-time. Successful completion of the MSc course takes 11 months full-time and three years part-time. Also, PgDip and PgCert courses last one year full-time and two years part-time.
To study this field, students need a first or second class UK honours (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or professional equivalent. Other qualifications along with representing enthusiasm and knowledge in the elements of the subject may be accepted.
Shrivenham Security clearance
Some courses of the Cranfield are offered at the British Defense Academy, so applicants must complete the BPSS or have a security clearance up to this level or higher before enrolling in the course.

The expiration date for the exams is only two years of the course start date. Combination of scores in two or more tests is not accepted, all elements of test results must be shown in one test. All test scores are checked with test providers.

The School of Water, Energy and Environment, the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, and the School of Management are located on the Cranfield Campus, as well as many industrial-scale facilities for research.

Students admitted to a full-time course can apply for on-campus accommodation. They will also be able to find private housing off campus in nearby areas. Cranfield Campus has 1,466 single rooms, 75 studio apartments for couples, and 97 family homes including two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom houses.
