Studying postgraduate certificate in Sensors Electronic Warfare at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom:
This is a part-time course which aims to address the topics of e-warfare related to military communication systems, including the technical management of military information systems, procurement, specifications, development, and analysis. The course welcomes scientists, armed forces officers, and technical officers in the defense industry and government defense institutions to bring them to a higher level of knowledge and understanding in sensor systems and military communications with regard to electronic warfare. During the course, students will gain an understanding of communication systems and later learn how to defend them in electronic warfare. After graduation, students can work as a team or individually in the defense industry and the military. They will be ready to accept roles in defense intelligence, systems development and access, including specifications and analysis of such systems. This course is made up of five modules, and is provided through training, lectures, visits to outside organizations, and laboratory demonstrations. The provided modules may be modified or canceled due to research advances, changes in rules or for various other reasons. Compulsory modules include the following:
- Communications Principles: Students will gain an understanding of modern military and business communication systems. On the other hand, they will examine the threats that these systems face and eventually learn the necessary steps to protect them.
- Communications Systems: The aim is to provide training on how to use modern military and commercial communication systems.
- Electromagnetic Propagation and Devices: The aim is to provide an understanding of communications, electronic warfare systems, devices related to military sensor, antennas, and electromagnetic propagation.
- Information Networks: Students will gain an understanding of networks in a military electronic sensor or communications system then examine their vulnerabilities to learn how to protect them.
- Signal Processing, Statistics and Analysis: This short course covers statistics, signal detection in noise, analog and digital signal processing, and also provides signal analysis and statistical tools used in communications and sensor systems.
Admission requirements of postgraduate degree in Communications Electronic Warfare:
The course only offers a part-time PgCert degree, which takes two years to successfully complete. To study the field, students need a first or second class UK honours (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline. Candidates with lesser qualifications but with relevant professional experience may be accepted.
Shrivenham Security clearance
Some courses of the Cranfield are offered at the British Defense Academy, so applicants must complete the BPSS or have a security clearance up to this level or higher before enrolling in the course.

IELTS: 7.0 overall and 5.5 in all skill components
TOEFL: 100 total and minimum skill component scores of 18 reading, 17 listening, 20 speaking and 17 writing
Pearson PTE: 68 overall and 59 in all skill components
Cambridge Assessment English: Cambridge English Scale score of 190 overall and 160 in all skill components.
Trinity College London: Overall Pass outcome.

The School of Water, Energy and Environment, the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, and the School of Management are located on the Cranfield Campus, as well as many industrial-scale facilities for research.

Students admitted to a full-time course can apply for on-campus accommodation. They will also be able to find private housing off campus in nearby areas. Cranfield Campus has 1,466 single rooms, 75 studio apartments for couples, and 97 family homes including two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom houses.
