Studying master of Advanced Water Management at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom:

 

The Water Crisis is really about understanding the link between food security and social well-being. We need to grow more food with less water for a burgeoning global population. We struggle from pollutions and flooding events, climate change, particularly the increase in the intensity of summer rainfall and winter rainfall is something that’s a real challenge for us. Students will develop the knowledge and understanding in the science management and policy of a broad range of topics related to Water Management and its challenges from water supply and conservation to flood risk management. Advanced water management will innovate them in managing contemporary water issues in cities and catchments and provide them with the skills needed to solve water-related challenges. This course is designed to expand and complement student’s knowledge in politics, science and practice so that they can get a successful job in optimizing the use of water resources in the water industry, engineering and environmental consultancy, government and the charitable sector. Aims of this course include: communicating students with government agencies, water and environmental agencies, educating students with the ability of providing sustainable solutions to problems caused by pollution, climate change, urbanization and the effects of poverty, transferring of knowledge and skills necessary for planning, management and finally implementation of water supply, sewerage and health projects, holding group projects to learn project management, supporting individual and group projects by foreign companies and organizations, benefiting students from the innovative teaching methods of industry experts, providing comprehensive training in business awareness, project management and effective communication, transferring a set of skills which includes: combining evidence, problem solving and technical writing, and benefiting students from experimental and educational facilities. The course consists of four assessed modules, an individual dissertation project and a group project.

Admission Requirements of master degree in Advanced Water Management:

The course offers three degrees: MSc, PgDip and PgCert. Students can enter the course to take any of these qualifications, which are held full-time and part-time. Successful completion of a full-time course takes one year and a part-time course takes two to three years.

To study the field, students need a first or second class UK honours (or equivalent) in a relevant science or engineering discipline. Other relevant qualifications, with significant experience, may be considered.

Language requirements of master degree in Advanced Water Management:

TOEFL IBT: 92 total and minimum skill component scores of 18 reading, 17 listening, 20 speaking and 17 writing.

PTE Academic: 65 overall and 59 in all skill components.

Cambridge Assessment English tests: Cambridge English Scale score of 180 overall and 160 in all skill components.

Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English III:   Pass

Language Cert: High pass overall and 33 in all skill components.

The expiration date for the exams is only two years of the course start date. Combination of scores in two or more tests is not accepted, all elements of test results must be shown in one test. All test scores are checked with test providers.
