Advanced Process Engineering MSc

Studying master of Advanced Process Engineering at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom:

 

There is always a problem to be solved in engineering and there is always a better way to solve a problem, so this basically allows students to add their creativity whilst also working with the subjects. The world isn’t short of problems from climate change to another challenges we need more engineers so that we can help solve these problems and make it easier for the next generation. Process engineers can design, optimize, and ultimately lead industrial processes and engineering projects. Students will specialize in design, management of process engineering systems, development and research, and operation during the course, so that they can work in research organizations, government or industry. Students can work in any sector they expect such as: energy and power, petrochemicals, chemicals, nuclear, pharmaceuticals, water, food and drink. Process engineering is more than just a job. It gives you an opportunity to actually make an impact on the world we live in. Objectives of this course include: holding real-life projects and assignments for students to learn how to make novel problem diagnosis, designs, or system insights which will make a difference in the industry, providing a practical approach to creating solutions to challenges, training engineering and management skills, providing students with access to near-industrial scale facilities for their project work, benefiting students from lecturers’ experience to meet the challenges of mechanical engineering in the real world, and developing students technology leadership skills. Students will also enjoy the support of Cranfield’s team of professorial thought leaders, including Professor Phil Hart. The course is comprised of eight compulsory taught modules. Part-time students will complete all of their compulsory modules with the agreement of the Course Director. The provided modules may be modified or canceled due to research advances, changes in rules or for various other reasons.

Admission Requirements of master degree in Advanced Process Engineering:

The course offers three degrees: MSc, PgDip and PgCert. Students can enter the course to take any of these qualifications, which are held full-time and part-time. Successful completion of a full-time course takes one year and a part-time course takes two to three years.

To study the field, students need a first or second class UK honours (or equivalent) in engineering or applied science discipline. With the approval of the Course Director, you may be accepted through several years of relevant industry experience or other recognized professional qualifications (as equivalent).

*Applicants who do not meet the standard entry requirements can successfully qualify for the second year of study by completing the pre-master’s course.

Student housing of Cranfield University in the United Kingdom:

 

Students admitted to a full-time course can apply for on-campus accommodation. They will also be able to find private housing off campus in nearby areas. Cranfield Campus has 1,466 single rooms, 75 studio apartments for couples, and 97 family homes including two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom houses. All dormitories have Wi-Fi internet connection. All students will benefit from Endsleigh insurance, which covers the risks that may occur while living in student accommodation. 

 

Language requirements of master degree in Advanced Process Engineering:

 

IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall and 5.5 in all skill components.

TOEFL IBT: 92 total and minimum skill component scores of 18 reading, 17 listening, 20 speaking and 17 writing.

PTE Academic: 65 overall and 59 in all skill components.

Cambridge Assessment English tests: Cambridge English Scale score of 180 overall and 160 in all skill components.

Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English III:   Pass

Language Cert: High pass overall and 33 in all skill components.

* You can apply for one of the Cranfield’s pre-sessional EAP courses, if you do not meet the English language entry requirements.

The expiration date for the exams is only two years of the course start date. Combination of scores in two or more tests is not accepted, all elements of test results must be shown in one test. All test scores are checked with test providers.
