Application Requirements:
- 16 – 19 years old on entry
- Students without a pass at grade C in GCSE or IGCSE English Language, or with an Academic English score below 7 overall must join an Academic English course for the duration of their first academic year. This will be timetabled alongside the students A-Level lessons.
A-Level Short Course Programme
English language requirements:
Students with an English level of below IELTS 7.5 (or equivalent) will also study Academic English during their first year of study.
Students can sit an online English test administered by the college as proof of English level.
Minimum IELTS 5.5, or equivalent level qualification.
Deadlines and intakes:

The Careers program at Abbey Cambridge offers a high-quality, impartial and up-to-date program of information and guidance, including:

Organization of variety of Careers-related activities themselves from their staff giving enrichment talks on careers in their specialist subject fields to hosting their annual UCAS Fair, where students use from Y11 onwards use Unifrog to look at careers opportunities and reflect on their own skills and aptitudes through the extensive personality tests available on the website. - Workshops on CV writing and interview techniques are provided, and through our exploration of work-related learning, students are helped to find work experience and placements at the end of Year 12 or take part in work shadowing activities provided by their partner InvestIN. This includes volunteering opportunities that students who participate in the Duke of Edinburgh pursue themselves to gain their silver or gold awards.
