The Master in Economy, State, and Society at Corvinus University of Budapest is part of the IMESS (International Masters in Economy, State, and Society) program, a leading two-year double degree program in comparative area studies. This program provides students with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Central, Eastern, and South-Eastern Europe, the Baltics, and Russia.
During the first year of the program, students study at UCL (University College London) in London, where they can choose from four tracks. Three of these tracks (Economics and Business, Politics and the International Economy, Politics and Security) are also offered at Corvinus University. An integral component of the program is the study of a language from the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region, with Hungarian and Russian being available options at Corvinus.
Prospective students are recommended to choose the Economics and Business (EB) track if they are interested in applying economic methods to cases from Central and Eastern Europe, such as analyzing the determinants of Foreign Direct Investment in the CEE region. The Politics and the International Economy (PIE) track is recommended for those interested in issues related to political economy, such as the impact of the Belt and Road initiative on CEE countries. The Politics and Security (PS) track is suitable for students wishing to understand the political and security situation in the CEE region, including investigating causes of war and peace or the lives of minorities in CEE countries.

Corvinus University consist of three dormitories:
- Kinizsi Dormitory
- Tarkaréti Dormitory
- Földes Ferenc Dormitory
Generally, the university’s dormitories can accommodate approximately 1100 individuals in rooms with 2-3 beds or, in some cases, with 4 or 5 beds. Some of the Services are : Computer Room, Study Room, Gym, Bicycle Storage Room, Washing Facilities, Cleaning Tools, WIFI connection.
After Graduation
Corvinus University strongly encourages students to take part in internships and part-time jobs during the course of their education. Its aim is not limited to encouragement; in fact, it provides students with the opportunity to benefit from career counseling and helps them look for job opportunities. Students even have the opportunity to take on internship positions in other countries upon graduation or during their break. They usually take from two months to a year and students are required to work for at least 30 hours a week.
