Studying Super intensive German course at GLS in Germany:
All courses build on the 4 fundamentals: listening, writing, reading and speaking. Free class discussions, role-playing and conversation help develop verbal expression, vocabulary and good sentence structure. Grammar is not studied in isolation, rather it is packed in informative and stimulating texts that provide valuable cultural, political and historical background. Some topics covered include: relationships, social life, jobs and labour, history of Berlin, cultural identity.

Curriculum:
- 30 lessons of German classes with max. 8 students
- 2-3 hours seminar on German culture every Tuesday and a German movie with teacher introduction every other Wednesday
- 3 half-day excursions in Berlin with GLS guide
- 1 full-day excursion in Berlin or to Hamburg, Dresden, Leipzig, Potsdam with GLS guide
Levels, placement tests, exams: GLS courses follow the Common European Framework issued by the European Commission for language learning: with 6 levels from A1 till C2.

To ensure a fast and smooth learning progress, you need to attend classes regularly:
- Prerequisite for a GLS certificate is a minimum attendance of 80%.
- Every level finishes with a test: you will need to score at least 60% to advance to the next level.

Ideal if you want to practice your German “at home”: You have a single room in a flat you share with Germans. Your hosts can be couples (married or not) as well as singles, with or without kids. They can be students, taxi drivers or professors, of all ages and social strata. All hosts have been inspected, and many have been hosting our students for several years.
