Studying bachelor’s in Sports Management at Nicosia University in Cyprus:
The Sport Management program sets out to provide the student with an extensive view of various sporting cases and organizations, and the skills to work in the sport marketplace, including professional and amateur sport, sport and fitness service organizations, commercial and public sport and recreational activities facilities, as well as human resources and single athlete management.

Sport Management is a multidisciplinary area which integrates the fields of sport and management. In this respect, graduates with a sport management qualification have a range of opportunities and employment prospects. They can offer their services to professional teams, national federations, fitness and recreation centers, youth organizations, sports marketing agencies, and sporting goods manufacturing and retail enterprises.
Application requirements:
The minimum admission requirement to an undergraduate program of study is a recognized High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or equivalent internationally recognized qualification. Furthermore, student must prove their English Language Proficiency as well.

The list below provides the minimum English Language Requirements (ELR) for enrollment to the program of study. Students who do not possess any of the qualifications or stipulated grades listed below and hold IELTS with 4.5 and above, are required to take UNIC’s NEPTON English Placement Test (with no charge) and will receive English Language support classes, if and as needed, from UNIC’s International Gateway Centre (IGC).

The university of Nicosia’s student residence includes three buildings, called the U, the triangle and the SIX. The dorms consist of dining, relaxing and entertainment areas such as restaurants, cafes, gyms, tv rooms, game lounges and a mini-market. The three complexes are surrounded by university campus.
The SIX complex is an architectural beauty. It is a 12-story building, overlooking the university. It consists of six towers that can hold up to 307 student residences. In addition, it is within walking distance to the university and is surrounded by recreational facilities and other amenities such as restaurants and cafés, as well as retail shops and supermarkets. The U complex is a 7-story building with contemporary architecture that offers various amenities to the residents. It consists of 399 rooms, some of which are private studios for students who prefer a more private and comfortable life.
The triangle and its 147 rooms are extremely convenient, modern and luxurious with a wonderful view of the university campus and a variety of amenities. Students have other options beside the university residences. They can rent affordable flats or houses close to the university. The university offers aid with finding accommodation for the students such as offering roommates, airport pickup and transportation.
After Graduation
Students have the opportunity to gain hands on experience by working while studying. They can be employed in small or big organizations. Students can seek help and consultation from the UNIC career success center. The CSC helps students find employment or internships by teaching them the necessary skills and knowledge. In addition, the CSC cooperates with over 800 networks, at least 500 of which employ students each year.
All students have the opportunity to take on internship positions through CSC if they meet the requirements of the organization. In addition, students in their 3rd and 4th year of undergraduate degrees, who have finished at least 120 ECTs, have the chance to take part in internships and receive financial support from the industry liaison program. Also, students who possess the necessary skills and are fluent in English, can apply for assistant positions offered by the university.
Students are able to work for 20 hours a week during each semester and about 38 hours during semester breaks. Students are also encouraged to work remotely. Postgraduate students have more opportunities to take on internship positions, virtual work or paid employment options.
Graduates of PhD or Master’s degrees can request for a residence permit and set up a business or find employment in other organizations. Their residence permit is valid for 12 months. After that, graduates may apply for a work permit, provided that a contract has been set with the organization. Based on the high education they receive in the university of Nicosia and the labor market of Cyprus; graduates of the university will not have a hard time finding a respectable job in their field of study.
