history
Zhejiang University is a national public research university in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. Founded as Qiushi Academy in 1897, it is the oldest university in Zhejiang and one of the oldest in China. After the 1911 Revolution, the university was shut down by the government in 1914 and was re-established as National Third Chungshan University in 1927 and renamed as National Chekiang University.

Zhejiang University has 7 Campuses as below:
- Zijingang Campus: Located in northwest Hangzhou, Zijingang is the main campus where the first- and second-year undergraduates study.
- Yuquan Campus: The campus is home to most schools/departments in the Faculty of Engineering.
- Xixi Campus: It hosts four colleges, namely, Humanities, Education, Media and International Culture, and Marxism.
- Huajiachi Campus.
- Zhijiang Campus: It is home to ZJU’s Guanghua Law School.
- Zhoushan Campus: It is a new campus hosting the Ocean College.
- Haining International Campus: A brand-new International Campus was open in 2016, which offers transnational education in its joint institutes.

Zhejiang University is offering more than 120 undergraduate and 300 graduate programs. Examples of bachelor’s degrees are: Clinical Medicine (MBBS), Communication（Global Communication and Management）and Computer Engineering (Dual Degree). It also offers various programs in Master level, for instance: Linguistics and Applied Linguistics in Foreign Languages, International Affairs and Global Governance and Public Administration. - Accommodation: The Accommodation fee differs based on the campus and type of the room that you choose. Approximately, it will be 24,000 RMB to 84,000 RMB per academic year.
- Note: An extra RMB 8,000 yuan/ academic year shall be charged for programs whose language of instruction is English.

There are many Dormitories in Zhejiang University offered for international students. For example: Zijingang Campus International Students Dormitory (East Campus), Zijingang Campus International Students Dormitory (West Campus) and Huajiachi International Students Dormitory. All of them are prepared with Bed, mattress, desk, chair, locker, air-conditioning and etc. They have also many public facilities like: public kitchen, classroom, direct water dispenser, self-service laundry, and study room.
The price of the dormitory based on being in a different campus, single\twin room and facilities can vary from each other.
