history
The Artevelde University of Applied Sciences is almost a new university and was stablished in the 2000 in Belgium and offers Associatie universiteit Gent (AUGent) accreditation to more than 14000 students who study at this university. Furthermore, four Catholic institutions in Belgium merged together to build this international university for all the local and international students who want to continue their studies. These four institutes are the Hogeschool voor Economisch en Grafisch Onderwijs (EGON), Katholieke Hogeschool voor Gezondheidszorg Oost-Vlaanderen (KaHoG), Katholieke Hogeschool voor Lerarenopleiding en Bedrijfsmanagement (KLBO), and Sociale Hogeschool KVMW Gent.

However, these scholarships will help them pay for a part of their tuition fee, and they must pay for the rest of the tuition fee and living or study expenses on their own in this country. Overall, the Non-scholarship students must pay € 979.60, Almost-scholarship students must pay € 535.60, and the Scholarship students must pay € 115.80 for the total amount for full-time study program (60 ECTS). However, this amount is for the applicants who have valuable residence card in the time of application.

On the other hand, the EU students must pay 230,00 EUR + 11,00 EUR per credit, and the non-EU ones must pay 800,00 EUR + 45 EUR per credit in the partner universities from 97 different countries.

The international students can choose to live in the Artevelde University of Applied Sciences of Belgium accommodation options with other students or the exchange students. Although the rooms for the exchange students are different from the degree-seeking ones.
Overall, the students can stay in these houses from the 12th of September 2022 till the 7th of September 2023 and choose from various options like Bagatten House (16, 9000 Ghent), Savana and Jeruzalem House (76, 9000 Ghent), Poort House (254, 9000 Ghent), Baudelo Upkot (75, 9000 Ghent), and so on.
Also, the students who want to get a rental in Ghent must pay about €400 per month for a standard room up to €600 per month for a studio with bathroom and cooking facilities (utility costs included). Furthermore, the applicants can get temporary accommodation in Belgium and spend a few days looking for the best option according to their budget and priorities.
after graduation
The students must refer to their visas to find out whether they can work while studying in Belgium or not. Overall, the students who need to work while studying to cover a part of their tuition fee, living, and study expenses can choose the short courses or the part-time programs to have enough time to work part-time in related jobs.
This university will help the students find proper part-time jobs and gain more job experience and have a better chance of finding a suitable and related job after graduation in Belgium or the global job market. However, if the students’ career hurt their educational process, they must leave their jobs and focus entirely on their education to get the best possible results.
