ABOUT
Introduction
MSc Project Management is a practice focused course that is diverse and vibrant in an inspirational learning environment that embeds internationalisation, employability and professionalism you’ll need to succeed as a project manager.
Structure
Content
You will study the following modules:
- Project Management Fundamentals – explores the key principles, concepts, tools and strategies of project management. You will learn how to effectively plan and execute a project.
- Project Management Methodologies – explores various project management methodologies and frameworks. You will learn how to effectively implement the Agile and Prince2 methodologies in an organisational context.
- Projects in Global Environments – addresses the knowledge, skills and competencies required to successfully manage International and global projects which are inherently complex by nature; language, culture, and logistics among other issues.
- Leadership – covers the application of theories and concepts of leadership that reflects a sensitivity to issues relating to ethics, culture, strategy and governance.
- Project Management in Context – explores the fundamental principles of managing portfolios and programmes and their relationship and strategic alignment and to understand project management in an organisational context.
- Sustainable Development: Principles and Practice – explores the fundamental nature, causes and consequences of sustainable. It will also introduce some of the key frameworks that have been used to explain and implement sustainable development.
- Masters Project – the culmination of the MSc is the Masters Project, which provides an opportunity for you to demonstrate your independent research, and creative and planning skills.
This structure is for full-time students only. Part-time students study the same modules but the delivery pattern will be different.

Study time
Full-time (over one year): 15 hours a week of teaching and related activities, and 30 hours a week on independent learning.
Part-time (over two years): 7.5 hours a week of teaching and related activities, and 15 hours a week on independent learning.

Entry requirements
We normally require an honours degree of 2:2 or equivalent.
We can consider applicants who do not meet the normal entry requirements, but who do have relevant professional experience or qualifications. In your application, you should describe in detail your professional experience and qualifications.
Deferred entry
We are not able to offer deferrals for this programme. However, we appreciate there may be extenuating circumstances to consider and therefore we will consider requests on a case by case basis.
English Language Requirement
International and EU applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with 5.5 in each component
Deadlines: for 2022
- Thursday 19 May – If you applied by 26 January and you are still waiting, universities will decide whether they are making an offer by today (otherwise UCAS will reject the application on their behalf). You will then be given a deadline by UCAS to make your decision.

Thursday 9 June – If you receive all your uni/college decisions by 19 May, you must reply to any offers by today (except if you are using Extra to find a place), otherwise they’ll be declined.

Thursday 30 June – This is the last day you can apply to university for 2022 entry before Clearing begins. If you send your first application (not UCAS Extra) to UCAS by 18:00, they’ll send it to your chosen university.
- Monday 4 July – Last date to apply in UCAS Extra.
- Tuesday 5 July – Clearing opens for applications if you already have your results.
- Thursday 14 July – If you applied by 30 June and you’re still awaiting a decision from any of your choices, universities have until 14 July to decide whether they’re making you an offer (including Extra choices).
- Thursday 18 August – A-level results day. Fingers crossed you got the grades you’re hoping for. If not, don’t panic – there are options including Clearing. We will confirm our decision by email.
- Once your place is confirmed and you have completed all admissions requirements you’ll receive your username so you can register online.

After Graduation
Most the international students desire to work while studying in the UK to pay for their study and living expenses in this country and gain more business and living skills and experience, however, the international students must refer to their visas to find out whether they are allowed to work in the UK or not, overall, the students who hold a tire four visa can have a part-time job while studying in the UK for up to 10 or 20 hours per week, on the other hand, if the students’ visas say (no work or work prohibited), they cannot look for a job in this country and must simply focus on their studies, moreover, their careers must not be self-employed, sports coach, entertainer, full-time job, dentist, or doctors.
