Studying in the MSc Creative Writing at the university of Surry:

MA Creative Writing encourages lateral thought and will sharpen your research and writing abilities.

The University operates a credit framework for all taught programmes based on a 15-credit tariff. Modules can be either 15, 30, 45, 75 and 120 credits, and additionally for some master’s dissertations, 90 credits.

Relevant work experience will be taken into consideration if you don’t meet these requirements. If you have at least one year of relevant experience in a full-time graduate-level role (or a minimum of two years’ experience in a relevant graduate-level part-time role) please provide full details of your role and responsibilities in your personal statement and CV when you submit your application.

As part of the application procedure, applicants will be asked to provide a portfolio of creative material (5,000 words prose or equivalent).

The international students can use the on-campus or off-campus accommodations while studying at the University of Surrey in the UK which has an affordable monthly rent for all the applicants, this university has more than 6000 rooms available in three different locations in Guildford with different price bands in shared or studio flats for all the students. Also, all of these rooms are fully furnished with bed, desk, chair, reading lamp, bookshelf, and so on. Therefore, the students can bring their personal belongings and start living in the UK. Furthermore, the applicants will pay about 158 pounds per week during their study period. However, it depends on the room choices that they have.

After Graduation

The international students must pay £363 for visa application and the same amount per each dependent who wants to come with them to the UK.
