Overview
Prepare for a fast-paced career in finance, and develop specialist skills in financial technology, with our BSc Finance (FinTech) degree.
FinTech is a rapidly expanding sector within the financial industry. You’ll study the core concepts and practises of financial technology, and learn how technological advances have necessitated change throughout the industry.
Develop the knowledge and skills to meet these changes head-on, as you acquire a deep understanding of finance and financial services. You’ll also gain expertise in programming and financial applications, and learn how to apply your technological skills to real-world problems.
Experts from from Henley Business School will introduce you to the:
- fundamental principles of accounting, finance and economics
- quantitative techniques of finance
- role of finance in business and society
- ethics required to work in the finance industry.
As your studies progress, you’ll explore the key concepts of financial technology, including:
- the management of information systems
- programming for finance
- digital business
- cryptocurrencies.
You’ll learn through a combination of lectures, seminars, practical workshops, and self-guided study. This will provide the opportunity to discuss subject materials in an in-depth way with your lecturers and fellow students.

All of our degrees are available as four-year options, with either a Placement Year or Study Year Abroad in the third year.
