Entry Requirements

Students are encouraged to contact the Course Leader before completing enrolment on the module to discuss their ideas for a project. Students must be employed in a health care setting. Students who have already successfully completed the Level 6 Work Based Learning module may not study this module.

Course Overview

The aim of this module is to take the lead in the development and implementation of practice-based initiatives that reflect currently perceived best practice and demonstrate through critical reflection, self-assessment and personal development planning, their understanding of their role as leaders, change agents and role models in the post-Francis Inquiry era.

Assessment

The assessment for this module will be:

Coursework 100% – Portfolio of evidence consisting of three elements: a rationale for the project, an action plan using SMART objectives and a reflective piece which examines the nurse’s project experience and personal development. The assessment comprises a total of 5000 words.
