This course is designed to enable students working in health care settings to demonstrate advanced knowledge of relevant theories and frameworks underpinning a particular aspect of professional practice and their application. Work-based Study: Professional Issues Related to Healthcare Practice allows students to study a particular work related issue thereby facilitating the development of advanced knowledge and understanding of the topic. Formal sessions will address report writing and presentation skills.Assessment
Students will be supported in the selection of a focus for the module, the structuring and management of a report and the development of skills required to write and present a concise, comprehensive analytical report on the selected professional practice issue.Teaching methods
Where is the module taught and by whom?
This module is a distance learning module which only requires online attendance. This module will be taught by the module leader, Ken Spearpoint.Computer Equipment Requirement
Delivery of the module incorporates blended learning which aims to combine e-learning activities with campus based learning. You need to have access to a suitable personal computer and a good reliable Internet connection (broadband recommended). Most modern PCs or Macs (less than 3 years old) should be suitable.
