About the course
- Learn: The aim of the ILS course is to train healthcare personnel in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, simple airway management and safe defibrillation (manual and/or AED), enabling them to manage patients in cardiac arrest until arrival of a cardiac arrest team and to participate as members of that team.

The Immediate Life Support – Resuscitation Council UK course is run over one day and consists of lectures and practical stations. The manual is forwarded two weeks before the start of the course and the candidate is advised to study this thoroughly. Assessment on the course is continuous in nature and copies of the assessment forms should be forwarded to the candidate with their manualTeaching methods
