About the course

This course is about classical hypothesis testing, including t-tests, one-way ANOVA and chi-square. This course is aimed at all who have groups in their data that need to be compared and contrasted, whether the data comes from a survey, experiment or elsewhere. The topics covered are one-sample hypothesis tests, two-sample hypothesis tests, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), non-parametric analyses and chi-square test of independence. These topics will be demonstrated using Excel and SPSS. It is assumed that delegates on this course will have knowledge of probability and the Normal distribution. Those whose experience of these topics is some time in the past should find sufficient reminders given to enable them to participate fully.
