This six week course is a beginners’ guide for people who want to be able to make and edit their own films using industry standard software, Adobe Premiere Pro. It is also a grounding for people who want to make a start on a professional career in film-making and editing. Using our industry standard software and equipment, you will film a short sequence, learn the essentials of film-editing and how to navigate Adobe Premiere Pro’s menu and tools. In class sessions you will work on a basic project undertaking everything from importing video through editing, adding a soundtrack, creating a title sequence and exporting the final result to the best file format for the purpose. Week by week our experienced tutor will take you through essential topics such as:- Film sequences.
- Media management.
- Understanding formats and importing video.
- Video editing tools and techniques.
- Adding effects and transitions.
- Adding opening and end credits.
- Key-framing and timelines.
- Exporting finished video.
