Computer Aided Design (CAD) on desktop computers and via the cloud has brought 3D design within the scope of anyone interested in learning how to make 3D models for either professional or personal use. During this course you will learn about and come to understand the fundamentals of how a CAD systems works, enabling you to produce 3D parts and assemblies, and to produce drawings, using the industry standard software Autodesk Inventor. With these 3D parts we will introduce you to the world of 3D printing. The key to it is being able to model the parts so you can print them. After an initial introduction to the software, the course will cover:- Sketching in 2D.
- Creating 3D features.
- Producing drawings.
- Creating assemblies.
- Types of 3D printers.
- Preparing 3D models for printing.
- Printing 3D parts.
