Overview
The MSc European and International Business Management is unique in the UK. You’ll live and study in three different European countries, giving you a truly international perspective on management.
It is delivered in partnership with two other centres of excellence:
- Deusto Business School at the Universidad de Deusto, Bilbao, Spain
- Audencia Business School, Nantes, France
The programme is taught in three languages: Spanish, French and English. You will spend the first term in Spain or France, the second in France or Spain, and the third at the School of Management in Bradford. You spend the final 12 weeks of the course on work placement or writing a report.
The MSc European and International Business Management includes some language tuition, but you must be competent in at least two of the three languages, and have the ability to become proficient in the third.
Studying the programme significantly widens your career opportunities and earning potential. You’ll, have operational experience in three major business cultures, with the transferable skills to adapt to others, and demonstrate your ability to thrive in a multilingual business environment. It also demonstrates your mobility, adaptability and flexibility, both physical and intellectual – attributes that are highly prized by leading global employers.
Entry requirements
All candidates must fulfil the following criteria in order to be considered for a place:
- An accredited university degree (from any subject area) validated by the country of origin for progression to postgraduate study
- Previously obtained undergraduate and postgraduate degrees must amount to a minimum number of credits of 240 ECTS (or equivalent in non-European institutions) or 180 ECTS plus two years’ relevant work experience (in lieu of 60 credits ECTS)
- A personal statement demonstrating motivation/commitment to the programme
English language requirements
Fluent knowledge of (at least) two of the working languages (Spanish, French, English) of the joint programme. Candidates must show at least C1 advanced proficiency level in English (according to CEFRL classification) and in at least one of the two other working languages of the programme (French and/or Spanish). Some flexibility may be shown in the third language (either French or Spanish) if there is a clear commitment by the student to improving their skills in this language prior to starting the EIBM Masters.
English proficiency for students in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland
UK and Irish students will also require English Language certification at any of:
- Undergraduate degree from home country obtained within last 2 years
- England GCSE Grade 4 English or higher
- Wales and Northern Ireland GCSE Grade C English or higher
- Scotland National 5 Grade C English or higher
- Ireland Junior Certificate English (Level 3) at Higher Merit or Ireland Leaving Certificate English (Level 4) or higher.
English proficiency for international students
If evidence of proficiency in English is needed, applicants will be required to achieve the following minimum scores in one of these recognised tests:
- IELTS 6.0 with no subtest lower than 5.5.
- Internet-based TOEFL: 94 overall, with minimum scores of Listening 17, Reading 18, Speaking 20, Writing 17)
- PTE-A (Pearson Test of English-Academic): 60 overall, with no sub-test less than 51
Career support
The University is committed to helping students develop and enhance employability and this is an integral part of many programmes. Specialist support is available throughout the course from Career and Employability Services including help to find part-time work while studying, placements, vacation work and graduate vacancies.
Discussing options with specialist advisers helps to clarify plans through exploring options and refining skills of job-hunting. In most of our programmes there is direct input by Career Development Advisers into the curriculum or through specially arranged workshops.
AWS Academy program from Amazon Web Services (AWS)
The School of Management has joined the prestigious worldwide AWS Academy program from Amazon Web Services (AWS). All students will be given an opportunity to enhance their employability skills, helping to make them ready for the world of work.
AWS Academy is a global program that provides educational institutions with access to cloud computing content to support student learning in a competitive digital workplace. As a member of the AWS Academy, the University of Bradford will help students become proficient and certified in the use of AWS technologies and ready to join the dynamic cloud IT workforce.
All learners will have the opportunity to seek professional certification with the skills gained through AWS Academy content, delivered by University staff that are AWS Academy accredited.

Accommodation at the University of Bradford in the UK is centered around The Green Village, recommended for students. It offers two options:
- Apartments: Ideal for those who prefer privacy, each apartment has six en-suite bedrooms with private shower rooms. They feature a shared kitchen/dining area and living space, along with a three-quarter bed, desk study area, and wardrobe in each bedroom. These apartments are also designed to accommodate people with disabilities.
- Townhouses: These are blocks of houses, similar to traditional English terraced blocks, and are the more affordable option. Each townhouse has 12 bedrooms sharing a large open-plan living space with a kitchen/dining area and living space. Each floor has four bedrooms sharing two shower rooms. Bedrooms include a three-quarter bed, desk study area, and wardrobe.
The cost of accommodation is about 50 to 55 pounds per week.
