Overview
This programme will be of interest and relevance to any student hoping to work in health or science careers. We welcome applications from students who have applied to other health profession courses.
Whether you want to have a science career, study a postgraduate programme leading to qualification as a health professional, or work in healthcare management, this programme can be the first step towards your future. In addition to studying science and health focused modules, we actively work with you to develop essential graduate and employability skills.
The programme provides the opportunity to enhance your profile further with an optional placement year between years two and three, enabling you to either work in a relevant field or study abroad.
Entry onto the clinical sciences course is either directly onto our three-year programme or via our clinical sciences with integrated foundation year programme, which prepares you to study health or science courses.
The course has a clinical focus and a strong emphasis on anatomy, physiology, and employability skills. The course is informed by research, clinical expertise, and benefits from being taught by scientists and healthcare professionals from a wide range of specialist areas.
With an integrated knowledge and understanding of science and health-related issues, you will be in an excellent position to pursue a variety of careers within the health sector or pharmaceutical industries.
Clinical sciences graduates have progressed to postgraduate study, leading to careers in medicine, the healthcare sciences and other healthcare roles such as:

Clinical sciences has embedded key transferable skills into each module, which will help you succeed in graduate jobs or post-graduate study.
Entry requirements during Clearing

A levels
120 UCAS tariff points from 3 full A levels, to include A level Biology and Chemistry at minimum grade B.
Please note that where a science A level is taken, the University will require applicants to pass the practical element (for A levels awarded from August 2017 onwards).
BTEC Extended Diploma
Not accepted for this course. Applicants should apply for Clinical Sciences (with Integrated Foundation Year).
Applicants on Access Programmes
122 UCAS tariff points from an Access to Medicine Diploma courses accepted from the College of West Anglia and Sussex Downs Adult College only, where 30 Level 3 credits at Distinction (including Biology and Chemistry) and 15 Level 3 credits at Merit are required.
International Baccalaureate requirements
120 UCAS tariff points from 3 HL subjects, to include HL Biology at grade 6 and HL Chemistry at minimum grade 6.
Plus HL 3 or SL 4 in Maths and English Language and Literature A or English B.
Plus minimum of
GCSE English Language, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry or Combined Science at grade C or 4.
Additional entry requirements
Applications will be screened for evidence of your academic potential, motivation and interpersonal skills plus the experiences and qualities necessary for a future healthcare professional. All short-listed candidates will be invited to a selection day.

Minimum IELTS at 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in each sub-test) or the equivalent.

Career support
The University is committed to helping students develop and enhance employability and this is an integral part of many programmes. The Careers and Professional Development module
Our core stage two module prepares you for making effective career decisions on leaving the University. You will learn how to evaluate your own skills, abilities, interests and values, and to relate these to a range of career options.
You will develop employability skills such as CV preparation, interview techniques and presentation delivery.

Accommodation at the University of Bradford in the UK is centered around The Green Village, recommended for students. It offers two options:
- Apartments: Ideal for those who prefer privacy, each apartment has six en-suite bedrooms with private shower rooms. They feature a shared kitchen/dining area and living space, along with a three-quarter bed, desk study area, and wardrobe in each bedroom. These apartments are also designed to accommodate people with disabilities.
- Townhouses: These are blocks of houses, similar to traditional English terraced blocks, and are the more affordable option. Each townhouse has 12 bedrooms sharing a large open-plan living space with a kitchen/dining area and living space. Each floor has four bedrooms sharing two shower rooms. Bedrooms include a three-quarter bed, desk study area, and wardrobe.
The cost of accommodation is about 50 to 55 pounds per week.
