Studying at Master of Surgery program at the University of Buckingham in England:
The MSurg is designed for international doctors who wish to expand their surgical training in the UK. The students will take part in training analogous to the Core Surgical Training offered by the Joint Committee on Surgical Training (JCST) which forms the first stage of speciality training for most doctors training in surgical specialities. The expectation is that students will take their MRCS to coincide with the award of the MSurg.

Fees are payable in six monthly instalments:
Payment of a minimum of the £10,000 is required within four weeks of the date shown on the offer letter to secure a place on the programme (of which up to £5,000 is non-refundable if the applicant withdraws for any reason other than a genuine visa refusal). The remainder of the first six months’ fees would be required four weeks before the start date of the course.

Application Requirements:
Candidates need to have a primary medical degree and will need to obtain full registration with the General Medical Council ahead of starting the course. Additionally, they should also have the following:
- Successfully completed one year of internship at a hospital and must supply their Certificate of Completion.
- Graduated from an internationally recognised medical school.
- Completed their undergraduate training and be fully registered with the Medical Council in their respective countries.
- Two character reference letters from any member of their medical school academic staff, OR from their current senior medical colleagues and consultants.
English language requirements:

The university offers different types of residences with different prices and different facilities and amenities. The Sunley House consists of 39 ensuite rooms and costs £170 a week. Norton’s Place, which includes 8 rooms, costs £205 a week and is suitable for couples. Hailsham House has 43 Premium ensuite, that cost £170 a week and 42 standard rooms, all of which cost £130 per week.
Hutber House includes 20 Standard rooms that cost £130 a week. Bishops Court holds 32 flats that cost between £130 to £140 a week, the price varies based on the level of the privacy of the rooms. Mitre Court consists of 22 Flats with standard rooms and cost £130 and 7 self-contained Flats that cost roughly £205 a week. Beloff House holds 66 Ensuites that cost up to £140 per week. The university offers many more accommodation options in different parts of the city with similar facilities and costs.
