Career opportunity:

As well as the wide variety of professional or management careers for which an arts and humanities degree is a useful preparation, art history and heritage can prepare graduates for employment or further academic study or graduate training in areas related to the subjects studied, which can include the art market, curating, museums and heritage organisations, specialist media and publishing, and to areas for which visual understanding is an asset such as in advertising. A knowledge of art history is also useful for conservation training in fine and decorative art and architecture.

 

Application Requirements:

  • The standard entry requirements for Business Economics at The University of Buckingham are A-level: BBB-BBC, IB:31-32 or equivalent qualifications.
  • Applications to Buckingham are individually considered by the Admissions Tutor and other factors may be taken in to account. Applicants with BTEC qualifications are welcome to apply, including if you have a mix of BTEC and A levels. Equivalent A-level grades are also accepted (for example ABD equivalent to BBC)
  • Where an applicant is taking the EPQ alongside A-levels, the EPQ will be taken into consideration and result in a slightly lower A-level grade offer.
  • Applicants must also have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C / Grade 4, or above (or equivalent).

Buckingham university offers accommodation to its students with free insurance, in fact, the best student insurance of the country. All the residences are equipped with necessary facilities like WiFi, heating, lighting, vacuum cleaners, Launderettes, wardrobe, shower, wash basin and WC, as well as kitchen necessities like microwaves, freezers, kettles and toasters. Hutber House includes 20 Standard rooms that cost £130 a week. Bishops Court holds 32 flats that cost between £130 to £140 a week, the price varies based on the level of the privacy of the rooms. Mitre Court consists of 22 Flats with standard rooms and cost £130 and 7 self-contained Flats that cost roughly £205 a week. Beloff House holds 66 Ensuites that cost up to £140 per week. The university offers many more accommodation options in different parts of the city with similar facilities and costs.
