Introduction:
Our Online MBA with Data Analytics is designed to address the growing area of data science in business. It will equip you with the specialist knowledge to operate effectively at a senior, strategic management level and empower organisations to achieve their objectives.
This specialist MBA is designed to examine methods and techniques that enable identification of data to answer strategically important questions. You’ll review organisational infrastructures for capturing and managing large volumes of data, and identify database and cloud-based technologies that enhance it. You’ll also explore issues such as ethics, privacy, and security.
The course will equip students with the ability to address the gap many organisations have when it comes to managing big data – the lack of a structured and systematic approach to leveraging the value of big data. You will move through the well-proven Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) methodology for data analytics. You’ll also develop a strong appreciation of the impact of big data and explore methods and techniques that will enable your organisation to identify the most important data to answer strategically important questions and thus link big data to innovation.
What you’ll study
The curriculum consists of ten core modules (total 100 credits) and a project module (worth 40 credits). You will also study four Data Analytics modules, each worth ten credits.
The course starts with an induction to help familiarise you with the online learning system and ensure that you are able to navigate successfully. The time to completion is two and a half years.
Leadership modules– Become a strong leader
You begin the Online MBA with Data Analytics with the Professional and Leadership Development module; this will run alongside your studies from the outset and improves your reflective practice and personal development planning, concluding with you creating a targeted development plan.
You’ll then go on to complete the Responsible Leadership module which underpins your learning and knowledge for the rest of the course, allowing you to foster a critical understanding of values and ethical decision making in business.
Overall, you will have eight core modules to complete over the course. These include The Values-Led Organisation, Global Marketing Management, Operations Management, Organisations and People Management, Financial Management, Business Information and Decision Making, Global Business Simulation and Strategic Change Management. These modules are designed to expand your knowledge in fundamental management concepts.
Specialism modules – personalise your study

Business research project
The final module is the Business Research Project, in which students will engage in a meaningful and applied piece of research designed to equip students with a theoretical grounding in research methods and its practical application.

Entry requirements
To apply for the Online MBA or Online MBA Fast Track, you will need:

- A good UK honours degree or overseas equivalent in any discipline, plus a minimum of 3 years continuous management experience
- One reference*
- A statement of purpose
- CV
- Language requirements (international students only)
*Your reference can be in the form of a letter of recommendation, sent as a PDF via email, or as an email from the referee’s professional account. All references sent directly from the applicant must be accompanied by either a wet signature, letterhead or a business card relating to your chosen contact. If a reference is sent from a corporate email account, this is not required.
In exceptional circumstances applicants without a degree will be considered, if they can demonstrate in their personal statement that they have been in a senior management position, managing people and budgets, for more than eight years.

If you choose to study the two-year route of an eligible course, which incorporates a work placement, the fee for Year Two will be £1,385.
If you’re starting a postgraduate course in January 2023 you’ll pay the 2022 fee.
Late Applications
If you missed the UCAS January deadline, it’s not too late to apply to join us in September 2022.
Applying to university after the January deadline isn’t anything to worry about – we accept applications for most of our undergraduate courses until Thursday 30 June 2022.
If you apply after Thursday 30 June 2022, your application will automatically be entered into Clearing. Clearing opens on Tuesday 5 July 2022, but we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible.
