You’ll have the perfect combination of theory and practice as you explore Internet technologies, database systems and application development– all backed up with lots of practical experiences.
Develop your practical skills by taking part in multimedia and virtual reality projects. Our graduates are knowledgeable about the development of software and able to design and manage complex information systems.
This course is accredited by the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT to Chartered IT Professional (CITP) status. You will have the opportunity to do a year long paid work placement. Recent examples have included Hewlett Packard and Siemens.

Entry requirements
What are we looking for?
- A-levels – BBC, including IT or Science subject grade C; or
- BTEC Extended Diploma – DMM, including relevant IT or Science modules; or
- 112 UCAS Tariff points from three A-levels or equivalent qualifications, including an A-level grade C equivalent in an IT or Science subject; and
- GCSEs – English and Maths grade C / 4.
Fees and funding
International fees for 2022 entry onto a full-time undergraduate course are:
- £15,600, or
- £16,200 (for courses in the Nottingham School of Art & Design and Nottingham Business School).
Tuition fees are payable for each year that you are at University. Tuition fees for the second and subsequent years of your undergraduate course may increase in line with inflation and as specified by the UK government.
If you choose to do a work placement as part of the undergraduate course the fee for the work placement will be £1,385.
Late Applications
If you missed the UCAS January deadline, it’s not too late to apply to join us in September 2022.
Applying to university after the January deadline isn’t anything to worry about – we accept applications for most of our undergraduate courses until Thursday 30 June 2022.
If you apply after Thursday 30 June 2022, your application will automatically be entered into Clearing. Clearing opens on Tuesday 5 July 2022, but we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible.
