Located in the heart of the city of Nottingham, with a backstory steeped in community and grassroots activism, this course offers students the opportunity to better understand the political world. Through experiential learning, you will be given the opportunity to put your knowledge and ideas into practice via real-time simulations and game playing which will help you to develop important negotiating and communication skills – alongside your knowledge of politics and critical thinking skills.
Practising politics is at the heart of our BA (Hons) Politics course and you will benefit from our connections with Nottingham Citizens and other partner organisations. Throughout the degree, you will integrate the analysis of political issues with data analysis, as well as placement and work-based opportunities, all of which will ensure that you are well prepared for your future career.
There are many career paths you can take following graduation, including roles in the civil service, as researcher or data analyst for a national charity or political organisation, in business or marketing or even entering active politics as a local councillor or Westminster MP.
