ABOUT
Introduction:
Develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of individual, group and organisational communication and identity that will enhance and directly influence the way you approach your media projects.
Fascinating new forms of politics, economics, and creative enterprises are rapidly challenging many core assumptions about human communication and identity. The possession and transfer of knowledge now lies at the heart of daily life and it’s more important than ever to understand various aspects of communication.
This course will help develop your understanding of the rapidly changing and dynamic media field. The course balances theoretical insights with practical aspects of media and communication.
You’ll develop advanced skills in the critical analysis of media texts, audiences and institutions. You’ll look at the communication between individuals, groups, organisations, humanity and nature, and the evolving media through which communication takes place. You’ll explore media cultures from social networking and lifestyle magazines to anti-globalisation movements and computer gaming.
Careers and employability
Your career development
Because you’ll develop such a wide range of skills and knowledge, your career options are really broad.
