Clinical Psychology (Thesis)

Studying master’s in Clinical Psychology (Thesis) at Bahçeşehir University (BAU) in Turkey:

The main goal of the program is to educate students according to the scientist-practitioner model. In this model, clinical psychology students will have an opportunity to learn necessary research skills that will enable them to apply for Ph.D programs or to be an academician in the future as well as clinical practice skills to be able to work in the clinical area. The program offers different courses in the areas of psychopathology, psychotherapy, research methods, and assessment.

Master’s Program with Thesis:

The duration of the master’s program with a thesis is four semesters, regardless of whether or not they have registered for each semester, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program they enrolled, except for the time spent in scientific preparation, the program is completed in maximum six semesters.

Failed to successfully complete the credit courses in the curriculum at the end of four semesters or fail to meet the success conditions/criteria stipulated by the higher education institution within this period; The student who fails in the thesis study or who does not enter the thesis defense within the maximum period is dismissed from the higher education institution.

If the student fails in the program with thesis requests, the master’s diploma without a thesis is given, provided that he/she has fulfilled the course credit load, project writing, and similar requirements of the master’s program without a thesis.

Application Requirements:

Masters’ degree student candidate must be present with the original copies of required documents at BAU Beşiktaş South Campus to finish registration process. Original copies will be copied and given back to the candidate (won’t be taken by the university). The list of the required documents (hard copies) for registration is written below:

Final registration of newly accepted International Associate and Undergraduate Degree students for the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. All admissions, registrations to the University and financial obligations must be completed by 3 October 2022 Monday. International students must have completed all their visa and University registration procedures by this date.
