Studying master’s in Marketing at Linnaeus University in Sweden:

Curriculum:

The programme starts with a course called applied marketing analysis, a course in which you will practice marketing research and the application of marketing management theories. This is followed by a course called international marketing strategy. During the second term, you will study managing innovation and entrepreneurship, followed by a course in research methodology. During your second year, you will study contemporary marketing research, as well as electronic business management. The 2-year master programme is concluded by a 30-credit degree project. The carefully selected courses provide you with knowledge that will be helpful when you write the master thesis, and foster skills needed to pursue career goals.

With a master’s degree, your employability is likely to increase significantly, and after graduating you will have many different career opportunities. Today, some of our previous students work as, for instance, marketing specialists, marketing coordinators, and heads of communications. You can also work as a lecturer at a university and teach. Another possibility is to become a PhD candidate and do research.

 

Application Requirements:

• You must have been awarded a Bachelor’s degree (equivalent to a Swedish kandidatexamen) from an internationally recognised university.
• Be able to demonstrate proficiency in English. For most master’s level courses and programmes, the requirement is also the equivalent of the Swedish upper secondary course English 6. There are some master’s level courses and programmes where English 5 or English 7 is the requirement.
• You must provide certificates and diplomas of your completed degree(s) from an internationally recognised higher education institution.
• Transcripts of completed courses and grades for each semester included in your degree. If you have had courses credited/transferred from previous studies, you must also submit official transcripts for those courses.
• Copy of the page in your passport with your personal data and photograph, or a similar identification document.
• You must upload your documentation both in the original language and in an official translation. Accepted languages for translations are Swedish and English.
