Studying master of Occupational Therapy at Jönköping University in Sweden:
This web-based, advanced level programme for occupational therapists offers flexibility to study from anywhere in the world. Students can choose to study part-time (50% study pace), allowing for combination with work, or full-time (100% study pace) and complete the programme within four or two years, respectively.
The programme provides you knowledge to critically and systematically integrate theory and evidence in occupational therapy. You will also learn to analyse, assess, and handle complex phenomena, problems, and situations through assignments in the courses. The courses focus on evidence-based practice in occupational therapy, occupation in relation to health, occupational science, scientific methods, and sustainable health promotion and community development through collaborations. Students can often choose the focus of their assignments and formulate their own research questions that are relevant to their practice and contexts. Students acquire knowledge to integrate theory and evidence in occupational therapy that help them develop professionally.

After completing the programme, you will have in-depth knowledge on sustainable evidence-based practice and theories that you can apply to work in various settings, such as government sectors, home healthcare, hospitals and rehabilitation centers, occupational health care, private practice, schools, and social care.
Application Requirements:
- The applicant must hold the minimum of a Bachelor´s degree in Occupational Therapy, (i.e. the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits at an accredited university) or the equivalent.
- Bachelor Diploma from a recognized university. Note: If you have not yet received the diploma, but are in your final year, you may submit documentation from your university, certifying that you are an active student in your last semester.
- Transcripts of completed courses and grades
- Thesis, independent work or equivalent from your bachelor’s degree (original language) only if the programme you are applying to requires a thesis or equivalent
- Proof of English proficiency.
- A copy of your passport (EU/EEA/Swiss citizens may submit a copy of a valid identity card which clearly states citizenship).

All new international students are guaranteed accommodation, provided that they apply for accommodation correctly, pay the administrative fee and announce their arrival in time. The guarantee only applies to admitted students at Jönköping University. Family members are not included in the guarantee.
