Studying Master of Educational Sciences at Latvia University in Latvia:
The aim of the study program is to promote the development and competitiveness of the teaching, management and research skills of students in the field of education and motivate further academic growth. This programme has been developed in co-operation with three partner Universities in Latvia that have experience in the implementation of similar academic Master study programmes. As a result of passing the program, the master students obtain qualifications to continue their academic research in doctoral studies.

Educational Management
- Pedagogical education – bachelor’s degree or second-level professional higher education with a completed program of at least 160 credit points/240ECTS; OR Bachelor’s degree or second-level professional higher education in any other field with a completed program of at least 160 credit points/240ECTS and work experience or completed courses (at least 2 credit points in the amount) in the relevant field of education or scientific sector.
- Entrance examinations will consist of two parts:
3.1. Written part. Essay on current issues and problems in education in the chosen specialization (300-500 words);
3.2. Oral part Interviews during which the applicant’s communication, leadership, and foreign language skills are tested.
Teacher Mentor
- Bachelor’s degree or second level professional higher education in Pedagogy (acquired at least 240ECTS)
- Entrance examinations will consist of two parts:
3.1. Written part. Essay on current issues and problems in education in the chosen specialization (300-500 words);
3.2. Oral part Interviews during which the applicant’s communication, leadership, and foreign language skills are tested.
