The programme aims to prepare highly qualified scientists and academics in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, and psychology by using an integrative and complementary approach. The approach allows for addressing challenges related to human health in order to implement and independently manage research projects at both a national and international level. you must have:
1.Medicine: Higher education: a Master’s degree in health care or the equivalent degree in medicine,
dentistry, biology, biomedicine or pharmacy;
2. Pharmacy: Higher education: a Master’s degree or the equivalent degree in pharmacy, chemistry,
medicine, dentistry or biology, or a Master’s degree of engineering science in materials science;
3. Psychology: Higher education: a Master’s degree in psychology or a corresponding higher education
diploma in social sciences and behavioural sciences or health care or social welfare, or teacher
education and education sciences or the humanities
4.If the applicant has a Master’s degree or equivalent degree in another field and if the topic of the
doctoral thesis is interdisciplinary with the fields of medicine, pharmacy or psychology, the decision
on the relevance of the education and the topic for admission to the study programme, based on the
educational documents and the abstract for the topic of the doctoral thesis, shall be taken by the Head
of the study programme on the recommendation of the Head of the sub–programme.
5. Oral defence of the abstract for the intended doctoral thesis

8.scientific publications in peer–reviewed publications that are not related to the topic area of
the doctoral thesis – 0.5 points
English language requirements:
All applicants must demonstrate their English language proficiency by submitting documents that testify their knowledge of English.
Applicants with English as the language of instruction at the secondary/high school do not have to confirm their English proficiency to RSU.
Deadlines and intakes:
In the academic year 2023/2024 RSU plans to admit:
- 600 international students to the Medicine study programme (360 in September 2023 and 240 in February 2024)
- 88 international students to the Dentistry study programme (60 in September 2023 and 28 in February 2024)
- up to 30 international students in all other programmes that RSU offers in English
