Curriculum:
On this 24-hour intensive course, you will attend 20 hours of General English classes in the morning to help you improve and expand your English grammar and vocabulary, strengthen your comprehension skills, and increase your fluency. In the afternoons you will prepare for the TOLES exam with one of their experienced tutors, who will guide you through the format and requirements of the test. You will focus on recognising different legal and plain English registers and modifying the language of existing legal documents, just as you will need to do for the exam.

Finding the right accommodation to suit you is an integral part of attending CEC. Every individual has different needs, which is why they have such a wide range to choose from. You can stay with a host family or in a self-catering apartment. You can check into a hotel or take a room in a B&B. the school carefully selects their accommodation providers and you can trust that they have all passed their rigorous selection procedure. All you have to do is let us know what you want and we’ll take care of the rest.
Host Family Accommodation

The students have the option to stay with carefully selected host families. Their accommodation officer visits each family to ensure that they are of the standard that is required by CEC to host foreign students. The families are selected on the basis of a friendly atmosphere, good food, and clean comfortable surroundings.
Residential Apartments
January 1st – May 27th & May 28th – August 13th
The Residential apartments are self-catering and consist of 5 or 6 bedrooms, with a shared kitchen. Each student has their own bathroom facilities. Bed linen can be hired from the apartments but students must bring their own towels. All kitchen utensils, crockery etc. are provided and laundry facilities are available.
CEC Apartments (2/3 Bed)
May 28th – August 13th
They have two-bedroom apartments ideally located in the city centre. These apartments offer both comfort and privacy in the heart of Cork city centre and are ideal for students who desire the convenience of city living.
Hotels, Bed And Breakfast, Guesthouses And Hostels

Whatever your preference, the school works with a wide selection of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels and B&B’s throughout Cork.
