Southern Medical University is located at the foot of picturesque Baiyun Mountain in Guangzhou. The main campus, together with its south campus in the southern suburb of Guangzhou, covers an area of nearly one million square meters. The university has been awarded the first-class garden-like university, for rows of green trees nourish and bouquets of flowers blossom on the campuses all the year round.
Southern Medical University offers international students on-campus accommodation. The well-equipped dormitory building executes hotel style management. Double room is available to international students; the roommate could be assigned by the University or chosen by the international student after reaching the University. Separate accommodations are provided to male and female students. Students living in school dormitories should observe Regulations on International Students Dormitory Management. Anyone who violates the regulations shall be penalized accordingly.
All rooms are equipped with air conditioner, room heater, attached bathroom and toilet, a complete set of furniture, electric water heater, TV, telephone and Internet access.

After Graduation
In MBBS curriculum of Southern Medical University, medical students are required to finish 1-year clinical practice under the instruction of a professor in the last year after 5 years’ theory study. After 1-year clinical rotation, an examination needs to be passed to get MBBS degree. For the international students who go back to their home country or to other country after acquiring MBBS degree or other medical degrees, they may apply for Medical Licensing Examination directly, get the medical license and work as a doctor after passing the exam and finish registration according to the local rules of the country.
