Curriculum:
Under the Pharmacognosy course, a student will gain a good knowledge of vegetable drugs and animal drugs through zoology and botany, respectively. The course also includes plant taxonomy, breeding, pathology and genetics.

Entry requirements:
- The applicants to master’s degree should not exceed the age of 35 and must be physically and mentally healthy.
- The applicant should be able to cover his or her expenses on studying and living in China.
- English proficiency
- Applicants who have graduated outside China must have finished their study in a public institution in their home country with good academic records. Excellent academic records are required for applicants who have graduated from Chinese universities. CQMU prefers applicants who have obtained Chinese Government Scholarships or provincial/municipal scholarships.
- Applicants should have good performance at their former university with Certificate of Good Performance
- Applicants to master’s program should have earned a bachelor’s degree
Application documents:

- Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy/scanned copy)
- Non-Criminal Record.
- Proof of funds (bank deposit must not be less than all fees required to be paid in the first academic year).
- Notarized undergraduate graduation certificate, degree certificate (applicants who graduate in July 2023 will must provide pre graduation certificate) (copy / scan), academic transcript and graduation thesis at undergraduate (if there is no graduation thesis at undergraduate stage, proof shall be provided) (copy / scan).
- Apply for English Teaching Major: provide TOEFL, IELTS score Certificate (copy / scan) or the certificate that the undergraduate study stage is all English teaching.
- Two letters of recommendation (copies / scans) from professor’s / associate professors. The letters of recommendation must indicate the contact number, email address, professional title and position of the recommender, so as to ensure that the university can get in touch with them and confirm the contents of the letters of recommendation.
- English study plan of no less than 1000 words
- Additional materials: published works, papers, award certificates, medical practitioner qualification certificates and other relevant materials (copies / scanned copies).
English language requirements:
Applicants to English Medium Program are required to meet either one of the following requirements:
- Native English speaker.
- Applicants who are taught in English throughout the previous stage may be exempted from the proof of English test results, but they must submit the proof of English results and English teaching issued by the graduating university.
- Applicants who are not a native English speaker should provide TOEFL or IETLS scores as mentioned below, or have taken all their courses in English in bachelor or postgraduate study.
