accommodation
The Homestay Program affords students the opportunity to reside alongside Canadian families, immersing themselves in Canadian culture and traditions. This institution regards post-school interaction with the host family as the optimal method for enhancing English language acquisition. The host family assumes a pivotal role in assisting the student in acclimating to life in Canada, striving to integrate the student into the familial sphere to the greatest extent possible.
In certain instances, multiple international students may be accommodated within each homestay family. When multiple students are placed in a single family, they typically hail from two distinct countries. The family extends accommodation comprising a private, furnished bedroom, three daily meals, and snacks to each student. Students can anticipate commuting approximately 20-45 minutes between their homestay and the TRU campus.
- Apartment: $150 processing non-refundable fee once you apply for homestay
- $500 homestay damage deposit – refundable as long as no damage occurs and proper notice given. Both mentioned fees are due upon the application.
